During my weekend in Montalcino I took a couple of photos of the majestic Cipressi trees found in the area.

These were shot with my iPhone and edited in Instagram #oforolimpia

Sette di Vino Review

October 10, 2012 § Leave a Comment

Sette di Vino offers some of the best Tuscan starters I have ever tasted!

With a long list of Crostini and Bruschette, you won’t leave this place unhappy.

Located in the Piazza di Spagna in Pienza, its perfect to sit outside and enjoy the sunny weather. In case of rain there is also an indoors room upstairs that fits around 4 big tables.

My personal favorite is the Crostino of Ricotta and Cipolle (onions) its delicious!

Go there hungry as you will want to try all that is on the menu!

Price wise varies around 30 euros for 2 people with wine. Not bad!

and the service is great!

Pretty little town in the middle of Tuscan hills

October 10, 2012 § Leave a Comment

Pienza is one of my favorite places to head to when we go for the weekend to Tuscany.

Located just 20 mins away from Montalcino, where we stay, its the perfect place to stop by for lunch and show our friends around.

Being on top of a hill it offers fantastic views along the never ending hills.

And it’s home of one of my favorite tuscan restaurants in the area: Sette di Vino (next post coming up)

Il Chiostro di Pienza – It has a lovely courtyard and a pretty view amongst the hills, but unfortunately the looks of the place can’t explain the exorbitant price for a coffee and the rudeness of the service (I hate to write bad reviews, but this place really ticked me off )

Hello everyone! I know this post has come in a bit late…as my mum Milly explained two posts below, my photography course is coming to an end here in Paris so I’ve been putting all my time in preparing for the final Jury and Exhibit! All very exciting!

Last weekend I invited 20 friends over to our place in tuscany near Montalcino! The whole 3 days were fantastic, we ate delicious meals and drank a lot of Vino…Most important of all, everyone got really along and now everyone has a couple of new friends , which is great!

One of my fathers biggest passion: riding for hours into the country side.

Teddy chilling in the vines

My dad taking them out for a ride

This fellow was parked outside a church in Pienza

And I know this video has nothing to do with this post, somehow it’s one of my favorite tunes by the Band of Horse, (the horse part made the connection)

Enjoy and have a lovely weekend!

The hill and the storm

April 13, 2012 § 10 Comments

Even though on our trip to Pienza the weather wasn’t fantastic, I was able to take some interesting shots from the inside of the car driving back home. The storm was pretty bad and the saying that the rain was “heavy” is an understatement.

So here is my attempt at capturing an angry mother nature:

Chiesetta in Val d’Orcia

Famous Cypress group

All these photos where taken on the drive Pienza-Montalcino!

Definetely one of the prettiest drives with or without rain! :)
